BEFORE LEAVING HOME
[ ] Government photo ID (passport for foreign nationals)
[ ] Booking confirmation, if you booked a service on the official portal
[ ] Comfortable, modest clothing and footwear that is easy to remove
[ ] Refillable water bottle
[ ] Regular medication and a small first-aid kit
[ ] Phone, charger and power bank (these stay in the locker at the temple)
[ ] Emergency contacts written on paper
[ ] Some cash in small denominations

BEFORE ENTERING THE TEMPLE
[ ] Check the current rules on the official portal
[ ] Check which items are not allowed inside
[ ] Check entry requirements for any service you booked
[ ] Confirm the timing for the day (festival days differ)
[ ] Deposit phone, bags and leather items in the locker
[ ] Agree a meeting point with your group

AFTER YOUR TEMPLE VISIT
[ ] Visit nearby temples: Annapurna Devi, Kal Bhairav
[ ] Walk or take a boat along the ghats
[ ] Attend the evening Ganga Aarti
[ ] Collect your belongings from the locker
