Who we are

KashiVishwanathTemple.net is an independent informational website about Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, the city of Kashi (Varanasi) and the pilgrimage traditions around them. It is written and maintained by a small editorial team.

Why this site exists

Pilgrims and travellers planning a visit to Kashi need clear, organised, honest information: when the temple is open, how darshan and booking work, what to carry, how to get there, and what the temple's history and traditions mean. We aim to be the most useful independent guide to those questions — a site people bookmark and return to.

What we do — and don't do

Tradition and history

We respect Hindu traditions and write about them carefully. We label beliefs as beliefs ("According to Hindu tradition…") and historical claims as historical ("Historical sources describe…"), and we say where sources disagree.
