Where is Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga?
Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga is at Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh, on a hill above the Krishna river in the Nallamala forest. The temple complex is also revered as a Shakti Peetha of the goddess Bhramaramba, making it doubly sacred.

A Jyotirlinga and a Shakti Peetha
Srisailam is unusual in combining one of the twelve Jyotirlingas with a Shakti Peetha, one of the sacred seats of the goddess. Pilgrims visit both shrines within the complex.
History
Historical sources describe patronage by several dynasties, including the Vijayanagara kings, who added gateways and halls. The temple is administered by the Andhra Pradesh endowments department.
Visiting
Srisailam is reached by road through forested hills; the town has pilgrim accommodation. The Srisailam Dam on the Krishna is nearby.
