Can elderly devotees visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple comfortably?
Many do. The hardest parts are the walk from the drop-off point, standing in queues and crowds in the sanctum. Stay close to the temple, go early on a weekday, consider the official Sugam Darshan, and ask at the official help desk about current assistance such as wheelchairs. - The walk. Vehicles stop outside the old city; from Godowlia it is under 1 km on foot, through crowded streets. E-rickshaws can shorten the distance to the edge of the pedestrian area.
- Standing. General queues can be long, particularly on Mondays and festivals.

- Heat and cold. Stone floors are barefoot territory, hot in summer and cold in winter.

- Rest after. The corridor's open courtyards have space to pause before the walk back.

- Carry regular medication (it can stay in the locker with your belongings).
- Keep hydrated before and after.
- In summer, avoid the middle of the day entirely.
Seeing the ghats without long walks
Take a boat from Dashashwamedh or a nearby ghat instead of walking the riverfront. You can watch the Ganga Aarti from a boat too.
