How long does Kashi Vishwanath darshan take?
There is no official waiting time. On a quiet weekday morning the whole visit can take under an hour; on Mondays, public holidays and weekends expect a few hours; on Mahashivratri and Sawan Mondays the wait can be much longer. Starting early and avoiding peak days makes the biggest difference.

What drives the crowds
- Day of the week. Monday is traditionally dedicated to Shiva and is the busiest regular day.
- Season. The month of Sawan (roughly July–August) brings very large numbers, especially on Mondays, when kanwariyas arrive with Ganga water.
- Festivals. Mahashivratri, Dev Deepawali, New Year and long weekends.
